I like to sit on my roof and look at the moon. It's so calming.
And not so confusing to you, huh?

I heard that at the next full moon you will be able to see mars also, I mean like the size of the moon, which is only once in every 2000 years
I heard that too. Does the thought of Mars being as big as the moon freak anyone else out besides me? It just seems so...weird...and yet fancinating!

Really? Would some werewolves will be seeing red during that?

The full moon has been gorgeous over the past few days, just awesome!

Yep! You sure got that right, (bus) boy!

I checked the mars thing out. It will be the size of the full moon if seen through a 75 power telescope. But it will be over 11 seconds arc in diameter and that's pretty spectacular in itself.
Frankly, I don't want to be on this planet when Mars gets close enough to look like it's the same size as the moon.

I have a wall clock that show the phases of the moon, so I am always aware when the particular phases occur. However, they got the display reversed, in my opinion. It fills in completely on the full moon, and is clear on the new.
I have a 2005 Inuyasha calendar, also. It has a picture of the black-haired Inuyasha on the date of the new moon (bonus points if you know why).

This last full moon (the harvest moon) just looked so awesome in the clear night sky.

YES!
I love to go out for walks at night...I live in the mountians, and there are some great little hills that I climb, late late late at night, and once I`m at the top, I`ll set there and look at the moon for a long while.
Seriouse...but I do not get to do this as much as I`d like too.

It's things like that that make me wish I live in the mountains. Ah well, at least there aren't too many lights where I live. I love looking at the moon and the stars, and trying to make my own constellations out of them with their own stories.

Really? Do you have your own werewolf constellation, Black Shuck?

Not yet, but I'll find one I think we're actually going camping this weekend and the top of the tent is entirely mesh, so I can look out at the stars yay!

Try to find one with blue eyes, Black Shuck!

lol, I'll have to find my star book so I find the blue stars and go on from there I looked at the stars while our campfire was going because my mom decided we needed to have the rain fly up (I'll admit it did look like it was going to rain when my dad and I were hiking). I could've opened the flap on my door so I could see out, but so cold I decided to stay in my bag What was funny though was my dad woke and it was fairly light inside the tent so he figured the sun was coming up even though it was, like, 3:30. He went back to sleep and woke up later on and it was darker, so he figured it was going to rain. He went back to sleep again, woke up, and ta-da! it's morning! What happened was the moon crested over the mountains and made everything really bright (my head was probably in my bag, trying to keep warm, lol). I wish I could've seen it though, the moon lighting everything up
Almost forgot- I went through my planner today and marked the moon phases. They listed what phases are when in the calendar part, but not in the part you use for assignments, so I fixed it Yay! Go me! lol!

Yes, I do take notice but I mostly check my calender. Often, I can feel that it's getting full.

I followed the setting moon home last night from New Orleans. It was really cool to see a moonset. I mean, I've seen hundreds of sunsets and my share of moonrises, but this is one of the only moonsets I've seen.
Wish it had been full instead of a barely waxing gibbous, but it was still pretty.
Oh yeah, waxing gibbous...full moon's coming.

Isn't that an eclipes or the like. When the earths shadow passes over the moon. I I have seen it before. The moon was blood red. It is really cool to see. I think a very magical and powerfull event!

I've seen an orange moon and a yellow moon never a blue moon though!!

I seem to remember the Busboy saying that a blue moon is when you have a second full moon within a calendar month.
Offline
You get a blue moon when you have two full moons in one month which dosen't happen often. That's what a blue moon is.

ahh other moon gazers like myself...my bedroom window lets moonlight in all the time... so nice to sleep under the moon's soft glow
Yes it is. My bedroom back in Aus. had one wall that was all window, facing out over a reserve. Any time the full moon was out I'd pull the curtains way back and sleep under it.
I was once out in a place called White Cliffs (another remote opal town in South Aus) with a friend in a trailer, when I was pretty young and I wondered why it never got dark that night. It was my first experience of a full moon out in the desert where there was NO light pollution at all. I'll never forget it.
I love wandering in the woods at night with that blue glow from a full moon falling on everything. I'll always look out for the moon, and try to find a few star constellations - Orion, Dipper, Casseiopia, the Pleiades Cluster - when night falls.
