Okie, well, I just posted about another show that hasn't really got off the ground and might never - Howl. Figured I should make a separate thread for this one
You know, it's irritating how much the low quality Twilight stuff has jaded folks to werewolves via their association with vampires. T-I-R-E-D of it.
Anyhoo. http://www.avclub.com/articles/mtv-give … ted,29659/

As I am concerned, there are three people selected for the main roles in the series, but nothing has been filmed yet... but if you trace back the rumors, there have been two years of "developing to somewhere". They were thinking about a movie first, and now a series. Will they ever air it?

Probably not, although I can see some CW 'Vampire Diaries' version of a werewolf show coming up sometime, based purely off the look of the werewolves from New Moon.

Ew.
MTV is gonna butcher this, just wait 'n see.
What a terrible, terrible channel.

at this point I'd rather have that than nothing at all. What are we at anyway as far as werewolf movies to vampier movies? I think it's 2 million (vampire movies) to 28 (werewolf movies) ratio

Man, I'm glad I didn't have to actually watch this show to find out that it sucks.

this could be AWESOME!!!! I like the lead dude. He was kinda mature for his age in that J Lo movie so I think he can pull it off. We'll see though with the trailer b/c pictures can't do much. I do hope there's more diversity though if they're copying off of the new stuff that's around. Vampire Diaries rocks though I wouldn't mind seeing some more Asians at least in the background or Hispanics.

I don't see how it could be any trashier than the original film, so I'm hoping it'll be a good show. It's not as if they're remaking Citizen Kane. So far the casting looks interesting.

<gasp and choking> Trashier? Teen Wolf? ARe you bananas!!!!! That's one of the greatest werewolf movies of all time.

I was so disappointed by the make-up, though. I'd been spoiled by seeing Howling and AmWolf first. If they fixed that aspect this time around, I'd appreciate it.

Perhaps it is implied... I mean, THOSE fx are ridiculous by the actual standards... even comparing with the worst ones (e.g. darkwolf). No one wants to watch a supposed-to-be-teenager with a furry mask playing basketball.

I think they're taking the name and a few character names and making it moreso like Vampire Diaries, but the werewolf version. They said it might be more horrorish and it won't focus so much on him playing basketball if he even plays.

ah man then that will make it like Wolf Lake. Still keeping my fingers crossed until I see the trailer and probably further see the episode.

Eh. I don't think i'll be a fan of any werewolf shows coming
out soon. If it were about four years ago, sure. But not now.

Why four years ago vs. now?

@werewolfimmortal;; Thats when the twilight buzz was at a hum. Now it's a deafening roar, so tv producers will try to make shows that make as many references and make it as similar to new moon as possible.

To some degree I understand. I like vampire movies and they have some common thread. BUT that's the characteristics of vampires not the actual storyline. On that note, I hope we see something different. Not any two guys fighting over a girl.
