I believe the song came out in 2007. Within Temptation is Fantastic. I love the mix of opera singing and modern instrumentals.

lol they do sound alot like evanescence...except evanescense has wolves in her videos :p i love the song, and i know its about werewolves, but then...why are there no wolves in the music video? :p

Well the reason there isn't any is because technically it is about werewolves, or wolves for that matter. It seems to be referencing more of society and where it is going, also issues about war and terrorism. I can also see hints back to holocaust situation. The howling, could either be those causing the pain or those suffering it. That is how I mostly see the song as, it just happens to work as a werewolf song as well, but I don't believe that was the intention of the artists, especially this group as they seem to have a lot of societal commentary for their themes and such. Also I agree they sound like Evanescence, but I like their stuff much more as they do have a lot of that commentary throughout their lyrics.

I love this song! Within Temptation is a great band, I've had their songs on my ipod or atleast listened to them since I was little. *So I grew up with cool music* XD

Within Temptation = Good quality, well thought out melodic metal.

Evanescence = whiny emo nonsense.

So, it is actually Evanescence who are the poor man's substitute. WT are much older and better established.

The video was for a fantasy videogame and it was about the monsters from that game, but with only the lyrics it makes a good werewolf song too
