Looking up an old werewolf tale from Karl Edward Wagner's Kane series I stumbled over this:

Anybody heard anything about that?

I've read the short story, it's pretty good. It's one in a series about "Kane", the biblical Cain, who can't die, and who roams around your basic fantasy setting killing monsters. This story is an atmospheric locked room mystery. Kane is trapped in a castle with a bunch of people. Killings begin, a werewolf is to blame - who is the werewolf? Interesting in that the eventual culprit is not a man who turns into a wolf, but an immortal wolf who can take on human form and control a pack of ordinary wolves.

Sounds interesting (shades of "There shall be no Darkness," which unfortunately got turned into a very mediocre movie). Never read Kane, the books always looked like a Conan rip-off to me.
