Werecoyote

First allow me to say HI! My name is Robert and I'm a Leo. I enjoy long walks on the moonlit beach, candlelit dinners, and pretending to be on reality dating game shows, haha.

And now on to the "meat and potatas". Is it just me or are my kind a rare freaking breed? I mean if you get within arms reach we're usually pretty easy to peg but damn if I have seen any but family. And you don't even really hear about all that many. I like to think (yea, denial) that there are alot more but they just peg themselves as wolves. I mean in the long stretch we're close enough. But still it's a sad thought to have either way. Rare or confused. Le sigh. Be a sad sad day when the get of the greatest practical joker of all time dies.

Re: Werecoyote

Heh, when I first found the Were community, I was complaining about there not being any Werewolves in my area. Then SnowWolf told me that there are a thousand Weres in Alabama alone and that the state hosts one of the largest and longest running Howls in the US and he was right. You can't swing a dead cat in this state without hitting a Therian.

So, my best friends in the Therian community are a Bear and a Coyote, and there are three regulars in the SEHowl (of which I am a member) that are Coyotes. There are others that show up occasionally.

So just find a dead cat and start swinging - I'm sure you'll find other Werecoyotes soon.

Uh, what part of the country do you live in, anyway - I might know some Coyotes there.

Re: Werecoyote

it's sorta predictable. I've been a Therian all my life but I knew nothing about the Therian community until 1999. It seems that Therians are drawn to each other and, considering that many Therians don't even know that they're Therian, it's to be expected that many long term friends just "happen to be" Therians.

Re: Werecoyote

I'm down in the Houston/Galveston area. I know of a few other weres just no coyotes. But the next howl I go to I have got to take a dead cat, haha.

Re: Werecoyote

Don't know of any 'Yotes in East Texas but there's a whole bunch of wolves, tigers, and one polywere graymuzzle that I hope to be seeing in a couple of months.

Re: Werecoyote

The original founder of Werelist is a coyote... I know this one guy who is a Coyote/Deer...  But why does it matter?  I don't care about meeting a were raccoon, just a were, no matter what animal....

Re: Werecoyote

Well it shouldn't matter but it does stick to me for some reason. I've run with different weres and while we get along well enough I just can't help but think I'm missing out on something. I can't help but chuckle every time something that happens between my friends and I that is just too close to the legends of Coyote, and no one else finds the humor in it. Guess my only real drive is that is sucks laughing alone

Re: Werecoyote

Well, there are two Coyotes that are regulars of the SEHowl and one that's trying to start up an Oregon Howl, so go to a Howl - you might meet one there.

I can't go to a howl, i'm 14 and until recently i wasn't even allowed at a friends house, i've never even left florida and never heard of any howls here and i doubt i could explain that to my mom, besides i can just wait till i'm 16 (two years) and then maybe set up one in florida

Re: Werecoyote

Just so you know, LycanSoul, there are plenty of underground howls in Florida (I live there also). There is a small gathering of therians in my small town, and I have met a few other 'strays' out there that just stick to themselves. I personally did the pack thing for awhile, but my alpha male got hooked on drugs and everyone left him to his ways. So I run my own pack, by my lonesome.

It's better to focus on yourself then it is to focus on a group when your in the process of awakening. Even though a group of people who know what they are talking about is good, still, knowing for yourself is even better.

Re: Werecoyote

no werecoyotes are not a rare breed although not a very popular breed if you want to find a werecoyote ask older therians also start searching you will find another one note keep an open mind most werecoyotes will be a few hundred miles away from other of there kind but will have a meeting place also there may be werecoyotes following you so that they can recruit you

Re: Werecoyote

Heh, that would be a little too exclusive - even Wylie hasn't been too successful with that. Maybe an "ingenious use of Acme products" contest....
