Soot Darkened Paws -Poetry
Tramping across the endless expanse,
An image of one once loved,
Tossed out, into the harsh reality,
Abandoned by those close,
Afeared by those unknown
The soot darkened paws,
Make their way home.
Is the cat still in the box?
