Yes, for an amateur film those are professional-level FX, and they put quite a few Hollywood films to shame. Thanks for yet another excellent werewolf alert!

The person who did the short put up a behind the scenes video. Shows some of how the cool makeup effects are put together. The video also ends with a bit of a stunner.

Someone needs to hire this artist for their next short film. Amazing how something done nearly 22 years looks better than much of what we get from big budget CGI films today.
