...Why? There's nothing that special about it, it's just different. Everyone has things that make them different, it's population diversity, one of the driving forces of progress.

Aye, Gay pride, Black pride, proud to be an American (even when we never do anything)......it's good to be proud of the things in your life that you had no part in deciding or that required no effort. So many folks have nothing else much to speak of to be proud of......

Yes there maybe nothing that special about it but is there really anything special about anyone else like gay pride or black pride like wolfvanzandt said? I don't see a problem with being proud of who and what you are...

You can be happy (or satisfied, or comfortable) with what you are, or you can be dedicated to your own people, or you can be and -ist (as in racist, nationalist, specieist, humanist, or existentialist), but you should only be proud of things you have accomplished - if you accomplished being a werewolf, then you're not a werewolf because being a werewolf is not an accomplishment - it's a state of being. If you accomplished being a Werewolf, you're only living a fantasy and that isn't anything to be proud of. If you are a werewolf, you didn't work for it, you didn't make that choice, you just happened to be born that way - again nothing to be proud of (although certainly nothing to be ashamed of either.)

Yes. I could be proud of being white.
I could be proud of being descended from a family which was filled with members of the NAZI party. I could be proud for being descended from an American WW2 war-hero who married a daughter from that family (I carry his knife). I could be proud for being descended from some of Zachory Taylor's Slave-Owning relatives, from who I have inherited documents saying that I own several "Negroes". I could be proud for being able to trace my ancestry directly back to Hessian Mercenaries who fought in the revolutionary war against the British.
But I'm not, and I don't feel guilty either. It doesn't matter to me either way. I'm not my ancestors, I'm me. Your genealogy is only important when you tout it, and I don't care enough to tout mine.
If I'm going to be proud of something, it will be the battles I've fought for civil rights, it will be the people who I've uplifted and inspired, it will be the good things I've accomplished in my life, not some footnote in a history book and not some simple matter of birth or upbringing.

That is one thing I dislike about forums, some of the better ones become old and unused then someone new joins and there is no one to continue a topic they enjoy with...

Don't get what's the big deal of replying to an old post? You generate discussion. Someone else might come along and see something they missed the first time, and comment.

It's only bad if they revive it to post a meaningless comment. If you've actually got a few sentences in a post which brings up something new and interesting then there's nothing bad about it.
(And yes, I know I spammed the top few posts last night even though they were old: I haven't been around for a while and was going through my "unread" lists without paying much attention...)

I always knew I was a therian, but i only recently knew a name for it. Even if I knew somebody around me who feels the same, they would be under so much peer pressure they would undoubtedly deny it.
