‘Autumn Moon’ promises to be the most violent werewolf movie ever made

Bloody-Disgusting writes: Writer/Director Randy Fabert (Psycho Killer) is hard at work in pre-production, prepping his new werewolf thriller, Autumn Moon from Skylar Phoenix Productions. Fabert himself stated that he hopes Autumn Moon will be “the most violent werewolf movie ever made.” Fabert, a fan of great werewolf films such as (An American Werewolf in London, The Howling, and The Wolf Man), says he wanted to make an old school werewolf film but update it to be extremely violent and gory. He feels that co-writer Michael Spivey and himself have captured the extreme violence a werewolf would cause.

The cast includes: Joe Kidd (That’s What She Said), Nathan Grauwelman (Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies), Iabou Windimere (Psycho Killer), Jocelyn Tanis (The Medal), Larry Combs, Gerri Sutyak (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Sonny Burnette (Zombies R Friends), Richard Aughpin (Architect of Chaos), and Randy Fabert (Psycho Killer).

“Pulp writer Michael Renee Allen thought the house on the edge of the woods would be the perfect place to write his next novel. He soon finds that the forest has more to offer than just fresh air and a nice view. Something unspeakable is stalking the forest. A cunning force of pure evil that hunts by night, painting the forest with blood.”

The werewolf make-up effects will be created by Fabert’s Postmortem EFX Studio.

The screenplay was written by Michael Spivey and Randy Fabert from an original story by Randy Fabert. It is produced by Randy Fabert, Joe Kidd, Thomas Humbach, Iabou Windimere, Michael Spivey, and Co-producers are Aaron Martin and Sheila Mudd Baker.

Has anyone ever watched AWIL and said "Boy, this movie would be so much better if there was more pointless gore"? I sure hope not.  A werewolf movie without violence would be silly, but what's the point in trying for ultra-ultra-violence? Anyone who's watched a modern horror film has already seen every type of dismemberment and mutilation the human body can undergo. After a while it just becomes boring. If you overload the violence the movie just becomes a cartoon.

Though a lot has been said and done with most werewolf films to be violent, I think that censorship in a lot of places is going to defeat the main purpose of why they are put out like that.  And in any case, you just have to consider how things are going to work together for it to be really violent and sort of scary both at the same time.  Just hope things would fall right into place that way.

Very, very true.

I have high hopes for this movie, so I've been keeping an eye on all the updates and news on it.

But like with every new Wolf movie, we'll just have to see when it comes out.

Never do anything as a wolf you wouldn't do as a man...if you have a good heart....you'll be a good dog....
