Well, not finding too many new Man-Wolfy things to bring up this thread -- though here's someone's new clay sculpt based on Wolfy's first appearance:

Very cool I like how he's got the eyes silver at the moment. Wonder what he'll do with them.

An Olympic pose if I've ever seen one. He's ready for the hurdles!

I like how the comments at the bottom of the page have about convinced "Malottpro" to re-create the whole cover of SPIDER-MAN #124 in clay.

Didn't stop me from going to Comic Art Fans and searching for "Man-Wolf." There are a couple of amazing portraits by none other than George Perez!

A Blog entry from last November recalls the "Stargod" saga:

Let's see if that works. John Jameson was depicted as an astronaut as far back as Amazing Spider-Man #1, and in the MU he was one of the last Apollo astronauts to walk on the moon. So he at least had an excuse to be there!

Your other links worked the next time I tried 'em. My DNS must be wonky. Weird personalisation since this is about Man-Wolf (my favorite comic character): I had issue #1 when I was a kid and was so taken by the storyline that I made collar with a red gem. I actually wore it to school. People already thought I was weird so it didn't much matter. I gave that comic to a kid who I belted in the head with a rock. Seemed like a fair trade since he had a lot of blood running down the back of his head. Oops! That first panel is from issue #1 I think. I drew a bunch of Man-Wolf fanfic after I asked him for the comic back. The kid cut out a page and gave me that instead. Way to ruin a collectors item. Which we didn't consider at the time many many years ago.

A few days ago former astronaut Neil Armstrong shuffled off this mortal coil. Coincidentally, I've been reading A MAN ON THE MOON, the history of the Apollo missions, by Andrew Chaikin. On page 216, there is this observation, based on Armstrong's memories of the first lunar excursion of the Apollo 11 landing:
"Here and there he saw what looked like transparent crystals lying in the dust; the biggest was the size of a walnut. He would have to come back for these things later, during the documented sample, if there was time."
If one of them had been a red crystal, maybe Armstrong and not John Jameson would have become -- the Maniacal Man-Wolf!

The Man-Wolf episode of the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon gave me a lot more than I was expecting. Wolfy got a lot of screen time and did an lot of butt kicking. The story combines and compresses many aspects of the Man-Wolf's origins from different comics. Not everything is explained, but the ending makes it likely that the Man-Wolf will appear again this season. If so, more explanations and developments might be forthcoming.
Screen caps and a couple of short videos are available at http://marvel.toonzone.net/ultimatespid … 36manwolf/
