Re: Werecoyote

I'm part coyote ^.=.^

The feeling of being a therian cannot be described in words. It's not just a label so we an find somewhere to fit in, it is who we are, who we have always been, and who we always will be. No one can change me, this is who I am. For more than ever.

Re: Werecoyote

Werecoyote here as well. And I'm located in Augusta, GA. Do fellow werecoyotes have the same problem of finding like kin around in the south? I seem to be overwhelmed by male wolves in my hometown. Never come across another coyote until recently, though she's a female like myself. Wolves are great and all, but I wouldn't mind finding more like me around. So I completely understand wanting another to howl with.

Re: Werecoyote

I know of one that is pure wolf though she is mated. And one that is a wolf kitty hybrid. Its easier for me to find males as thats where my interests lie. Or they find me. From what I can tell none of the male wolves seem to have trouble running with a female coyote but they're usually a bit possesive for my tastes. As I tend to find Alphas that also ends up being an issue.

Re: Werecoyote

One of my nonshifter but still supernatural friends seems to think that you get more people with extra gifts cropping up or getting attracted to areas where there are leylines around. Augusta and the surrounding areas seem to be so positioned.

Re: Werecoyote

The problem I keep running into with Alpha male wolves is that they get confused by the fact that as an Alpha female coyote I am both of equal rank but also outside of their pack hierarchy. Which leads to interesting situations.

Re: Werecoyote

Sounds like they're too young and inexperienced to know what they're doing. The werewolves I know don't seem to be that "confused". But they're also pretty mobile so they're exposed to a lot.

Re: Werecoyote

You are probably right. Not knowing the age or maturity level of those you run with I couldnt say. I still consider myself on the younger end of the spectrum at 27 and those I've come across are either close in age or younger. There does seem to be less trouble with the older ones however more possessiveness.

Re: Werecoyote

Well, my closest friends are a Bear (but he's gone now) and a Coyote but I know quite a lot of wolves. In personal relationships, they do tend to be rather possessive (on both sides) but I don't notice much of that in casual relationships. It may be a regional thing. You should find an established Howl and see if you notice the same kind of thing there.

Re: Werecoyote

I would love to go to a gathering of shifters but would not know how to go about looking up one in my area. Is there a listing somewhere of times and places? Are they invite only? I definitely wouldnt want to self invite myself onto someone elses home turf.

Re: Werecoyote

Howls are community turf. The Werelist (such as it is) is still a good resource for keeping up with gatherings. Some of the Howls in the southeast use the SEHowl YahooGroup to communicate. If you want to watch that, send me an email and I'll send you an invitation.

I'm okay Bloodlust and I'm by the forum often - I just haven't seen anything I wanted to reply to lately and I'm not a good starter.

Re: Werecoyote

Same here buddy. Lol

I'm waiting for someone to start a decent werewolf rp so I can join it. I've been wanting to rp as my fursona again for awhile now. I suck at starting them.
