Re: What wolf sound can you imitate best?

hmmm weird i thought i posted here before... oh well might as well put this up then. i have had the howl since the age of 7, and i do it regularly, i dont really growl so much as make a low rumbling sound that is a little too quiet for a growl. and (just for the record i am NOT a cat therian in any proportions. i am all wolf therian.) i can kinda purr, because i had a few friends who were cat therians so i would kinda joke around. i uese do be able to bark and snarl perfectly but i cant really do that anymore. and as for whimpering, well it depends on how hydrated i am tongue

Re: What wolf sound can you imitate best?

God, I howl all the time... like every night... it's the best thing ever, especially when there's a full moon out. You just feel like the earth is your own personal playground and the beauty of the unknown in outer space is just there... within reach... so close, you can almost touch it... and you love it.

I growled very loudly a couple of times on the bus, and they were like, "WHOOOOA! That's so cool/awesome!"

I discover I growl all the time when I'm angry, and since I'm a hyper kind of guy, I go, "ARFARFARFARF" a lot.

Also, I'm constantly scared, frightened, and anxious, so I whimper a lot...

I can't wait to be chased by a bunch of dogs and growl, bark, and snap at the top of my lungs. That would be awesome. Then again, if a bunch of dogs bother me by barking, I might growl at them anyway... but I know dogs well, they'd bark back... >_>

Plus, I can do a really good cat meow, and I've diversified my range of sounds. There's "normal kitty," "sad kitty," "ghost kitty," "in-need-of-a-mate kitty," "angry kitty," "ferocious kitty," and "psychotic kitty". I might do a schizophernic kitty sometime in the near future. XD

Re: What wolf sound can you imitate best?

I can howl, my growl sounds convincing, and my whimper is...how can I put this decently...crappy tongue I normally attribute my ability to howl to my absolute pitch, but I really don't know for sure what it is...

Re: What wolf sound can you imitate best?

I have a knack for imitating animal sounds to lure other animals to me, i can make a surprising about amount of cat sounds, Growl like a wolf and howl like one too but My whimper is like a dead dog dying...lol. Sometimes i can make a red tailed hawk scream. really hard to do with my deep larynx.

Re: What wolf sound can you imitate best?

Can't growl properly, something I've always wanted to learn.

But I can howl, I can bark and I can whimper.

I use it to play my dogs up mostly. Hiding my head under a blanket and whimpering sends them into a frenzy - I'm not too sure they know what to do exactly.

Re: What wolf sound can you imitate best?

I'm so jealous. Half of you have "local woods" I don't sad anyway back on topic, I have a decent howl when I'm in a really how do I say, connected? Mood. I trick all my friends with my whinper, they always look for a dog lol. My growl could use a little work but is still better than most and my bark is just, well, crap. All I can muster is a deep woof and if I try to be loud a sound like a chihuahua lol :p

O.o

Why do Werewolves always self-deprecate so easily. There's nothing wrong with your howls.

Re: What wolf sound can you imitate best?

Heh. I know my howl is good because when I howl all the coyotes shut up.

But it's pretty common. I'm usually the only Howler that actually howls and when I ask the others why they don't, they usually start telling me how awful their howls are.

One of my favorite Howl memories was at the Chewacla Howl. Most of them were on a boat in the lake and I was on the shore, which was a steep, grassy bank up to the cabin, lying on my back. I started howling and they would howl back. We had quite a chorus. Then, suddenly, Arye the Lion meowed back. Had I been in the boat, i would have fallen out laughing. We all cracked up.

I THINK my howl is good, although no one has heard me doing it before xD. I can't figure out how to do the other wolf sounds though hmm.

Re: What wolf sound can you imitate best?

I'm not good at howling at all.. >~<     I am good at whimpering and growing though. I growl at a lot of the humans at my school. My friends always tell me how I am so much like a wolf. :3
