What movie did Psych base there werewolf episode on?

Psych is a TV show and they recently did a werewolf episode and it was based on a werewolf movie, what was the movie? (It was a really bad episode of Psych but I have a feeling that the movie they based it on was great.)

Re: What movie did Psych base there werewolf episode on?

Well, David Naughton was in the episode, and he's kind of a fan favorite in werewolf afficionavocadoes circles (yes, I know I spelled that wrong) because he played the 'hapless college student bitten by a werewolf who rips people's heads off in Piccadilly square on the full moon' in American Werewolf in London. As far as I know though, the episode itself wasn't really based on a movie, it was just an affectionate nod to what many recognize as the the greatest werewolf movie of all time, or at least, the most outstanding transformation sequence of all time. Go Rick Baker! (and David Naughton!, 'cause freaking hell that had to be exhausting)
