Years ago, Northstar Comics published a werewolf comic called MONGREL, which was slated to be three issues. Unfortunately only the first was printed. The good thing is, the writer and artist are continuing the story and pages can now be seen here:

We're working out the logistics and will hopefully have something soon. I'll hopefully be posting some sketches as well. Thanks for showing the love and keeping this project alive all these years.

For those living in Chicago who might be interested, I'll be at http://www.windycitycomicon.com/ on Saturday Oct. 25th, 2008 - 10:00am to 6:00pm doing commissions. It's only $5 to get in and it's a big push to Comicons back to Chicago proper.

Very cool, will you have a booth at Wizard World Chicago in August, by any chance?

No plans for Wizard World. We were at C2E2 and DanCon. I might have a spot at Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Convention. And I plan on being at the Kankakee Fantasy Con. But there are so many cons and so little time. I would rather just make the art. The cons make me feel like a used car salesman.
San Diego Comic Con is on my horizon too, lest I give up my place in Artists Alley. Great people at SDCC. As wild and huge as its gotten they still maintain the importance of artists/creators who originally made/make the content that made the San Diego Comic Con what it is that Hollywood eventually ate up.

Yes, I do have a space in Artists Alley (Lobby G) Table HH-04 at SDCC. Look for Andrew Mitchell Kudelka
Anyone from 'The Werewolf Café' who mentions this site will get a signed MONGREL 11x17 poster (limited number) AND a sketch from me when they purchase a Mongrel Comic of their choice.
I'll also be giving away free digital 'sneak preview' copies of MONGREL #1 to those from 'The Werewolf Café' who join the MONGREL FACEBOOK FAN PAGE.

Hi all,
I'm Ed Dunphy, the writer of Mongrel: SOB. The Kickstarter has been going strong. We've hit our first and second goals, so the graphic novel will be printed and anyone who pledges gets a digital copy of one of our short stories, Hunting Season (a zombie story).
If we hit our next goal, $6000, we will write and illustrate a BRAND NEW Mongrel short story and include it with the Mongrel: SOB graphic novel. We only have 2 weeks left to get to this goal, so if you want to get in on the action, now's the time. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/194 … phic-novel
We've been raffling off special T-shirts on Tuesdays and Thursdays for anyone who has pledged the PRINTED COPY level or higher and personalized werewolf sketches on Mon/Wed/Fri. We've even had special shout-out days, where new pledges over a certain amount can have a graffito of their choice written on a wall in the comic.
Rewards start at digital versions of the series and go up through signed, printed copies and eventually get up to you owning pages the original pen & ink artwork.
Like us on Facebook to keep up with the most recent news: http://www.facebook.com/mongrelcomic
Last night was the full moon. Feed your inner werewolf with this series and help us make it as great as we can.
Thanks,
Ed Dunphy
