The Gathering (poem)

I woke to an eerie silence,
For I knew it was finally night.
I left my shaggy cabin,
Moving in the darkness out of sight.

As I reached the hanging cliff,
I called forth my unified pack.
We then howled to our moon,
Not a worry on our back.

It was now time to celebrate,
All the youth ran through the plains.
I then joined in the epic race,
Adrenaline coursing in my veins.

The elders told of our ancestors,
As the children wrestled around.
We are known by many as lycans
But we live in peace on our ground.

As the night began to fade,
We said farewell till we meet again.
Then we all howled in unison,
The song of a wolf, my friend.
