Heh..yeah, the plastic card one has worked wonders.... only I use a flattened pack of trident.
as for the elevator one, some friends and I did that at the town library once...only we didn't choose a floor so the elevator stayed there and wouldn't open.
The place had air conditioning, and it was over 90 outside...but we had no interest in reading at the time, so we hung out in the elevator.
Sometimes my knowledge is a BAD thing...on one occasion I almost got into serious trouble when I *accidentally* stumbled upon a vulnerability in some software at our school, which someone else inadvertantly decided to try themselves, which led back to me before I could report the problem and avoid disaster. Fortunately it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Haha! Nice man! Very nice! Libraries are great for hanging out in when it's hot. I found some stuff on vending machine hacks, but the ones at my school are retarded so I could never get it to work. Of course, it could be me, lol. They (the machines at my school) don't work anyways, so meh, haha

Those rings are beautiful Black Shuck!! WOW!
I love the celtic cross one. We'll have to get you some real silver to make it from.

Thanks WolfMontana! I'd like to have another go at it. See it I can't get it more symmetrical this time, lol.
Oh! BB! I remember your moonstone idea! I'll go scan pictures of a ring I made that's loosely based on that! I hate the way it came out, but it didn't drop my grade so meh, haha.
Here it is I've decided I don't hate it because it looks better than I remember it looking (go figure
). The material's silver and it was cut out of a thin sheet/plate. The stone isn't moonstone, it's a white cat's eye stone. I'm sure there's another name, but I don't remember what it is.
Okay, the pointless view (I keep telling myself there's something to it, so bear with me, lol)
The side view. There's a crescent moon cut out of each side
And the front

WOW, I just re-read through this forum, you MADE those two rings? AWESOME! Have you ever thought about making a moonstone ring?
Offline
*jaw drops* Holy crap Black Shuck - you have to keep doing this stuff - that last ring is incredibly beautiful!!

Ah, you and I just posted at the same time, maybe you could try to do a perfectly round looking moonstone ring as an idea (like a full moon).

Here's a cool ring:

Yep BB, I made those Thanks BB and WolfMontana! You guys are too nice, hehe!
I'm thinking about doing another jewelry class next tri, 1st hour. I'd like to make some more rings and stuff, and the teacher also lets you bows (like longbow or recurve) in Independent Study, so I'd like to do that too. I'll have to look around for moonstone cabs so I can do that BB! That'd be pretty cool!

I love the moon one ALOT.

Aw geez WolfMontana! Thanks! The jewelry teacher's pretty awesome. He's one of my favorites!
Whoops! I missed your other two posts BB, lol, but those are awesome rings! I'm pretty sure I could something like the second one. It's really pretty! The first one's really cool, too. All the symbols and the trinity knots on the side... That would definitely keep me busy! lol!

That one with the trinity design is Celtic, so I figure you might like seeing that one.
Offline
Yeah! I really like that one! Man, you're making me want to ask Becker if I can take a class now instead of next tri! lol!
Offline
When you're in class, you'll have to make three full moon moonstone designs, one for you, one for WolfMontana and one for me, ha, ha.
Offline
*nods wildly* That would be brilliant
Offline
Maybe you can get extra credit for making WolfMontana's and mine? (ha, ha)

you have trimesters.....and archery class....and jewelry class....
what kind of school do you go to?!
we just have art, tech design, computers, and music.... they cut everything else, and it's hard enough to get into tech design or computers!
damn "budget cuts"....we got all new computers but can't afford paper!

It's just a regular school. It's not an archery class though. If you take Independent Study in art, you can choose to make a bow, and then the teacher takes you outside to shoot it It's sweet.
We don't, however, have a lot of AP classes. We have AP English, Ap Calculus, and AP Art. We have Honors English, and it's *exactly* like regular English. I don't think they even expect more out of you. In AP English, we read Ovid's "The Metamorphasis", Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Macbeth", Dante's "Inferno" (I'm taking that we're just reading the "Inferno" bit and not the whole thing), pieces from Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales", pieces from Joyce's "Ulysses", "My Antonia", Sophocles' "Oedipus Rex", and I don't know what else. But here's the thing: We're not smart enough to take any of this home and read it. The teacher even told us the first that it's hard literature and he's not assigning any of this to read at home. Some of this is difficult literature, but really. I hate the way my school runs classes like that, but I love the other classes, like jewelry.
Gah! And I thought my school was having problems with money! The scoreboard on the soccer field hasn't worked in who knows how long! I suppose we do alright though.... We're the only highschool in the county, and Moab is pretty much the only city in the county that draws in any money. Spanish Valley kinda does, but it's like a sub-section of Moab or something.... and then there's Castle Valley. They won't allow any businesses to be built out there. In fact, they hardly allow anything to be built out there except houses! And Thompson just sucks. It's surprising people live there because it looks abandoned! Cisco's the same way. And then I think La Sal isn't actually in Grand County but in San Jaun County, but if it is in Grand, there's no businesses there either. We thrive off sucking money from tourists, lol

Yeah, I used to work in Yellowstone, at Old Faithful. Some tourists were completely convinced that staff in the area threw switches to make the geyser spout. MoeRONS!
