Gah!!
I just have it on a list, so maybe I'll snag a copy if the price goes back down $34.99 doesn't seem too bad for a complete series, but they only ask for a little more for shows like House and stuff.

O.k., it's time to astroproject back to the time between July 1987 and May 1988 (uh, how old were we then?)
I had just turned 13 and had only recently seen the Howling and AmWolf, which I think was probably the perfect age and state of mind to watch it! I recall loving it at the time, though even back then I could tell the suit wasn't as complex as the movie versions and the stories got rather repetitive. Hey, it was a weekly dose of lycanthropy, I certainly wasn't complaining! I'm interested to see them again. Mom taped over mine years ago.

I never got to see an episode myself (due to the fact that I was like -3 at the time O.O), but I stumbled upon the website for it a few years ago. Thought it looked awesome, and couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD at LONG LAST! Thank you, copyrights...thanks for killing another hope and dream >8(

Thankfully, I wasn't in High School yet. For once, I don't feel so old. Always remember the episode "All Hallow's Eve," because it is one of the few I caught back in the day (well, not totally on first airing, but when USA Network got ahold of it for a short time after). Particularly enjoyed seeing Eric walk into the abandoned house with the box of mock KFC. Being a KFC junkie, I always love depictions of werewolves that are equally addicted to the stuff. On the Canadian comedy series "Big Wolf On Campus," they did a whole episode about Tommy's addiction to a local chicken in a bucket take-out place.
LOLZ, I LOVE that show!!
Watched almost every episode on-line since I didn't have the channel when it was aired (and it just ended when I found it anyway D: )
The werewolf could've certainly used some improvement, but they didn't do so bad for, I'm asuming, what they had. And like you said with the chicken, the comedy certainly made up for it! ^^

Some of my favs:
The Pilot
E3 - "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" (my absolute favorite)
E6 - "The Wolf Who Thought He Was a Man" (that was just cool)
E10 - "Let Us Prey" (monastery werewolves? brilliant)
E15 - "Blood on the Tracks" (had a really neat feel)
E17 - "Wolfhunt" (I'm a sucker for wolves looking after people
E19 - "Big Daddy" (because of the transformation on the table)
E28 - "Gray Wolf" (because I loved the ice age werewolf

...I think I have pretty much the whole series, but on older VHS tapes that I'm unsure of re: reliability. A friend of mine taped the series off Fox during its original run. I also managed to nail pretty much every issue of the comic, even the 3-D reprint. Chuck Connors as Janos Skorzeny (same name as the vampire in the first Darren McGavin "Kolchak: The Night Stalker", incidentally) is pretty impressive. He didn't get to do villains very often, and he never did Janos less than damned fine. When a villain gets to be that good...well, you tend to miss him. This was before Fox went down the crapper, so the series would be very worth getting cleaned up and given the box set treatment...I'm hoping it happens someday. Came close...

I was 15 years old and stayed at home on Friday night at 7pm. I was quite upset when they canceled it. I loved to watch it because the werewolf Eric was not crazy/mad/insane. This show influenced my novel series, Moonwarriors, which is about Heroic werewolves waging war against the forces of darkness.

I forgot to mention that the Web Master of The Werewolf The TV Series website, LONE WOLF, did a review for my first Moonwarriors book. He said "I recommend any reader who is a werewolf or vampire enthusiast to check this story out!" I was very honored that he did that for my book. He is a great dude.
