I recently have had a hard time with eating vegetables. I cant seem to digest them as well as I can normally. Meats are just fine though. Anybody else have that problem?

Hmm. I don't thin that would have much to do with theriotypes as with mindset. However I do have a hard time digesting many vegetables.

I know it doesnt seem to fit but I was just curious as to what others though

And why is this in miscellaneous werewolf topics?

Good question. What do your real-life eating habits have to do with fictional-werewolves?

I find veggies come out of me in the same condition in came in since i have hard time digesting them, meat works fine even raw meat. erm do you get cravings for hunting actual animals and kill them to eat them raw?

I have had cravings to hunt. I never caught anything to eat though.

So... You're ill almost constantly then, because you are incapable of getting the nutrients required in the human diet? What medications are you on?

YUSS CAUSE CRAVING KILLING ANIMALS AND RAW MEAT MEAKS YOU A REEL WEREWULF LOL

Problems digesting vegetables can be psychological - as in the placebo effect. You trick yourself into thinking that your physical body should do a certain thing, so it does. I assure you, you are physically human in every way. Vegetables are not only fine for your body, but they are good for you. Try to get past your mental block and eat more veggies. Whether you like them or not, you will be healthier for it.

I now have a "Dexters Lab" scene in my head - on one of the episodes a man in a carrot (I think it was a carrot) suit, dancing whilst singing "Veggies are your pals!"
*Can't get the image out of his head* I blame you for this Sherlawk!

Actually, human bodies are designed to eat non-meats before meats. Our canine teeth are adaptations to periods of no growth of vegetables, wheat, nuts, or fruits.
Oh, and red meat isn't bloody meat. Unless you kill an animal and eat it on the spot, you're only eating myoglobin with a large amount of water.

I hunt a lot, but I usually end up just giving up the hunt alltogether and running even more.

Thank you for the much-needed injection of reality.

True, but sometimes the temptation just gets the better of me.

Aye, Nutrasweet and rutabagas. There's something in rutabagas that doesn't agree with me and, although Nutrasweet won't kill me, it will make everyone around me wish I'd go ahead and die.
As for meats - I love them. And I get cravings for vegetables. I hated vegetables when I was a kid but around college I started liking them.

I wonder what sparks cravings. I think I read somewhere once that it's your body seeking a certain vitamin that you aren't getting enough of but I'm not sure if that's correct or not.
Offline
That's what I heard to, but a craving could mean you just got the munchies.

Ingesting Nutrasweet (or aspartame) messes with my moods too. That's because it does contain chemicals which mess with your neurotransmitter levels. Trufax.

Even if it is just a random want doesn't something have to spark it?

Yeah, that's what is supposed to drive pregnant women to crave strange foods. Using this logic, according to the supposed cravings of some of the 'therians' in this thread, they're all horrifically anaemic. Personally I don't think food preferences or problems are anything to do with therianthropy. They are a purely physical phenomena and probably linked to actual medical and nutritional issues rather than therianthropy and I don't think its good to muddy the waters.

I hanker for chips sometimes on the weekends, but that's totally un-related.
However, the one food problem I have is nuts. Oh, the irony. -.-
And vinegar literally burns my mouth. Except I think it's Balsamico Vinegar.

I'd have to agree with ShadyHowl - I think food cravings/preferences/problems and Therianthropy aren't linked too much.
There was a point when I first started grasping the concept of being a Therian, and every time I had a craving for...a steak lets say, I instantly thought *GASP* "It MUST be because I'm a wolf Therian!"
...it could just be that I quite like steak every now and again.
I was a sucker for it at first too but I think newer/recently awakened (whatever the term is - "awakened" sounds way too dramatic for my liking) Therians end up attributing way too much of their lives to Therianthropy, and often think most of their actions are due to their Therianthropy.
A meat craving doesn't necessarily mean you're gonna go all Wolfman on us, and mutilate the nearest field of cows - your body might just fancy a burger, or require nutrition from some kind of meat.
As for just random cravings - I get chocolate cravings all the time...but that's simply because I'm greedy and love chocolate.
I can't stand cheese whatsoever - I can't explain why...I just need to avoid it. The look/smell/feel of it...bleargh!

Meat is good. I had an interesting interaction with a roast chicken the other day that was a little disturbing...
Chocolate rocks also, although I have never had any disturbing interactions with chocolate.
