A Carribbean blue ocean? Ok fine....

*Pokes WolfMontana with my sword* Ok, laddie, it's feeding time for the sharks below and you're their catch of the day!

*Drinks the Howlitzer flavored Root Beer.* Meh, not bad, but tasted kinda chunky.

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

ahh...

::pulls out diagram::

http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/7311/blah0001wl7.jpg

you line up the magnets and ball bearings like the diagram...

when ball A snaps over to magnet 1, it transfers it's energy to ball B. Magnet 2 then pulls ball B over, adding to the energy that is then transferred to ball C, which then is pulled over to magnet 3, and so on....

basically the magnets add energy each time around, so the last one shoots off at many times the original speed.

The Estrella War sounds pretty crazy! Is everyone going full bore in that kind of battle? I can imagine there must have been some real casualties? What kind of weapons did you use before the rapier?

Estella is sweet! 3-5 days in the spring, barely a mundane in sight. Two days of battles. Nothing is choreographed. It's just all out, no holds barred medieval mayhem. And the bonfires at night, with the drumming ,the music and the dancing (and the drinking), it turns it into a modern day Valhalah.

I started out with sword and board, but I had just begun to switch over to spear. When we get to Oregon, I hope to go archer with spear backup. Archers only get to play for so long in the big battles, then it gets too dangerous for light armor fighters.

Was it one of those dreams where your, like, standing on top of a temple in sungod robes with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?

Well, geez yeah!! Yikes! big_smile Sounds like a mad time, cool. smile So, is it a hand made spear? Do you use any kind of blunted point for the battle?
