Once at night, on a stormy sea
There was a ship known simply as Me
The winds were rough and the waves reached high
Yet the the crew of this ship refused to die
And if rocks rise up this ship will break
Tossed so carelessly in the storm's wake
Yet now the wind dies and the waves settle down
And in the distance the crew sights solid ground
This storm is over but more lay ahead
So the ship named Me rests in its bed
So I'm going to be entering this in a contest soon and I want everyone's thoughts on it. So respond soon!

I think you did and excellent job on it. I think your poetry writing abilities have much improved and this has a good theme to it - that are our own ships, and when hard times strike, we must "weather the storm" so to speak and I think you presented a nice explanation of that.

Thanks Punx! You hit the nail right on the head. I was trying for that point exactly! I thought of this poem Sunday night after a " storm " started. I wrote it the next day and I decided that it will be the second poem I enter in the contest.
The only other one that I've picked is " Falling " and I can enter one more. But a muse hasn't appeared for that one yet! LOL!
